Type Talk: Work Won’t Love You Back

Join us for a conversation between Type Fellows and authors Sarah Jaffe and Gary Younge on Jaffe’s new title from Bold Type Books, “Work Won’t Love You Back.”

Listen in and ask questions as they discuss why “doing what you love” is a recipe for exploitation and examine the “labor of love” myth.

Gary Younge, Alfred Knobler Fellow at Type Media Center, is a freelance journalist, and a Professor of Sociology at Manchester University in Britain. A member of the editorial board for The Nation magazine, where he was once a columnist, he was also formerly editor-at-large for The Guardian where he was an award-winning columnist, feature writer and foreign correspondent. He is the author of Another Day in the Death of America: A Chronicle of Ten Short Lives and Who Are We — And Should It Matter in the 21st Century? both from Bold Type Books.
